High School: Counselor: College Information and Application

College Information/Application 2009-2010

Class of 2010-2011:

 

The website for applying to college will open for applications for the 2011 fall school year on August 10, 2010.  We will complete college applications by October 1st so all students can be accepted in early admission.   

 

Completing College applications:

 

  1. Apply online at www.applytexas.org
  2. Do all three essays online with application if the college asks for them.  There is NO such thing as “optional”
  3. Get an official copy of your transcript from me
  4. Get two letters of recommendation for college admittance and bring to me.
  5. Check online application carefully before submitting.

 

Procedures before you hit the SUBMIT button:  

Have someone check your online application carefully

Have all letters and transcript to me so I can mail your packet within two days of you submitting application.

 Remember colleges want a complete application and packet so they can begin admittance process.

 

Once you have submitted the first application you can apply to more colleges by just hitting the application copy button and changing the name of the college.  You do not have to redo another application.  All students must apply to two or more colleges. 

 

DEADLINES

Early Admissions:  October 15, 2010

Final Admissions:  December 1, 2010
