Elementary Grading Policy by Grade Level

Kindergarten
          Language Arts/ Math: Practice 10%, Mastery 45%, Assessment 45%
          Science: Participation 50%, Discovery 50%
          Social Studies: Participation 50%, Class Rules 50%

First Grade
          All grades are equally weighted. AR/ AM are not included.

Second Grade
          All grades are equally weighted.

Third Grade
          All grades are equally weighted.

Fourth Grade
         Math: Homework/ daily work 20%, Tests 50%, Timed tests 30%
          Reading: Homework/ daily work 20%, Tests 50%, AR 30%
          Writing, Science, Social Studies: All grades are equally weighted.

Fifth Grade
          Math: Homework/ daily work 20%, Tests 50%, Timed tests 30%
         Science: Homework/ daily work 20%, Vocabulary and content tests 50%, Unit tests 30%
        Reading, English, Social Studies: All grades are equally weighted.

Physical Education
          K-2 deduct one percentage point for each rule or dress code violation.
          3-5 deduct two percentage points for each rule or dress code violation.

Music
         70% participation, 30% assessments 

Technology
        Lessons and tests are equally weighted based on words per minute and percent of accuracy.
