Goal 1  Facilities

 Provide facilities that create a safe, inviting, clean and inspirational atmosphere that promotes and encourages learning.

 •       District/campus assessment with staff input.

       Community and student input on facility needs.

       Monitor and decrease discipline incidents.

       Develop a plan to address safety and security problems.  All campuses review safety procedures, buildings, exits, etc. with local law enforcement before and during school year with periodic checks during the day and after school hours.

Review emergency operation plans for addressing urgent needs in order to implement if necessary.

 Goal 2  Morale and Pride

 Ensure an environment that promotes faculty, staff and student communication, improves character and morale, encourages academic and athletic achievement and facilitates parental and community participation.

 •       Review, revise and enforce student and staff dress code.

       District and campus team building for faculty and students.

       Increase student and staff recognition's.

       Conduct a faculty and student survey.  Develop a task force to review surveys to develop strategies to improve area of concern to motivate and support students and faculty.

       Attract, develop and retain quality staff.  Develop a teacher mentor program and orientation for new staff.

Goal 3  Academics

 Achieve and maintain exemplary status as defined by the state accountability system and meet local district requirements and to prepare student to be successful after graduation.

 •       Develop an effective way to communicate information to parents to solicit their help.  Develop a committee to review, revise and expand the District web page.  Conduct a parent survey.

       Increase parent awareness of grades and attendance.

       Provide early identification and intervention for at-risk students.  Desegregate student data to address sub pops needs and deficiencies.

       Ensure technology is available to support instruction.

       Ensure that 100% of the TEKS are incorporated into all subjects at all levels as determined by a comparison of TEKS with lesson plans and instructional units.

 Goal 4  Finances

 Be financially responsible and efficient by prioritizing and using all revenue sources available to better education our students.

       Refine departmental budgets.  Develop a plan for budget adjustments in relation to student numbers and needs.

       Designate a fund for campus improvement (facilities).

       Provide training for grant writing.

       Develop a plan to monitor student attendance and reduce drop-out rate.

       Increase revenue through investments.
